Hat Trick Hockey League (HTHL) Divisions

The Hat Trick Hockey League (HTHL) offers multiple divisions designed to provide competitive, balanced play for skaters of varying skill levels and ages.

HTHL "A" Division (Highest Level)

The premier division of HTHL, featuring the highest level of competition in the league. This division is intended for elite and highly skilled players with extensive hockey experience, including:

  • Former or current Professional players
  • NCAA College players
  • ACHA College players
  • Junior hockey players
  • Prep school and high-level varsity players
  • Advanced adult players with strong skating, puck-handling, and game awareness

Games are played at a fast pace with an emphasis on skill, hockey IQ, and competitive team play.

HTHL "B" Division

A competitive intermediate division designed for experienced recreational players who possess solid hockey fundamentals and game knowledge.

  • Former high school, club, and recreational league players
  • Intermediate to advanced adult players
  • Competitive environment without the speed and intensity of the A Division
HTHL "C" Division (Below B Level)

Designed for recreational, developing, and lower-intermediate players.

  • Newer adult players
  • Players returning to hockey after time away
  • Those seeking a more relaxed pace while still enjoying competitive games

Focus is placed on participation, development, sportsmanship, and enjoyment of the game.

HTHL 30+ Division

An age-specific division for players aged 30 and older.

  • Open to a range of skill levels
  • Emphasizes competitive hockey, camaraderie, and sportsmanship
  • Provides veteran players an opportunity to compete against players in a similar age group
